Having called in near Stourhead on Friday I was once again attracted by a row of three cottages.

They are situated close to the entrance to Stourhead Gardens.

Two of the cottages have canopies over the front doors and the shapes, I think, are gorgeous. The climbing plants enhance the scene no end. The brick built chimney stacks contrast well with the stone used on the main buildings.

I have previously taken photographs of the front elevation but I do like this view a good deal.

I spoke to an elderly American gentleman who had been renting one of the cottages, and then went on my way.
