This is Jerusalem Hill, near Sherborne in Dorset. The photograph was taken yesterday in the late afternoon as the sunlight was illuminating this landscape in the Blackmore Vale.

The light was much more interesting than I anticipated whilst I was taking Jack the dog for an afternoon walk. As you will see, there is a strong side light from the right hand side of the scene. In addition to the sheep feeding on the grass in the middle distance, there is a herd of deer on the slope of the hill on the left hand side – if you look carefully. I like the clouds, including the dark clouds approaching apparently from the distance.

Other views of this hill are can be seen on this blog.

The photograph was taken with my Fuji X-Pro2 camera with a Fuji 23mm f/2.0 lens. I took four RAW format photographs with the aim of merging them into a single image using Lightroom CC. Handheld, no tripod. That worked well resulting in a 500MB 16bit TIFF file.
