On Wednesday I traveled with my daughter, Sally Evans – see www.sallyevansphoto.co.uk - across Cranborne Chase to take some photographs of Horton Tower. On such an overcast day it seemed an unorthodox shot would be best. This was shot using a Lee x10 grad filter – the ‘big stopper’ – with an exposure of 28 seconds at f/8. The resulting sky is much more interesting than a normal exposure would have given. Using Lightroom and Photoshop, we final shot has been rendered as an infra red monochrome photograph.
Taken with a Canon 5D Mk2 and a Canon EF24-70 f/2.8L USM lens
